For decades, China always acts as the global factory for international brands. Chinese garment manufacturers worked only as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for those big labels who put their production line in China. Right now, more and more brand companies required their manufacturers to design the products as well. D&T helps these manufacturers to introduce foreign designers who understand much better the international market to provide the design and eventually turns OEM to ODM (Original Design Manufacturer).
For this ODM project, D&T took part in CHIC2012 which in the biggest garment exhibition in China. We possessed a 200m2 booth and three of our designers from different countries. We prepared varies lines of collection with cashmere, wool, fake leather and fur. All the samples are made by our sampling center. From 26th to 29th March, we have received many requests from local garment companies which reflect the considerable demand of this market.
